Awana Grand Prix

See You at the Races!

This is a Fun Event for the Whole Family

Anyone is welcome to come watch their kids participate in this event. The Awana Grand Prix is where children make a car out of a wooden block and then race it down a track that will be set up in the Gymnasium. The cars are available at the church office for pickup, starting January the 14th during regular office hours. One block of wood per child. 

Note: This is the first year that Sparkies are invited to participate in the race. 

Check-In: Friday, January 29, 6:30 – 8:00 pm

• There will be a pit crew on site to help with weigh-in, oiling, etc.
• There will be opportunity to test your car on the track.
• Cars must be checked in on Friday to race on Saturday. No exceptions.
• If you cannot check in your car on Friday, it is acceptable to have someone else drop it off for you.

Saturday is Race Day!

• The doors will open at 9:00 am.
• The number you are assigned must be visible on your car.
• If you are unable to be present at the race, it is acceptable for someone else to race it for you.
