Evangelicals and the Gospel

Evangelicals and the Gospel

As we heard from Pastor Ben a few weeks ago, our identity is very important.  We are Evangelical Christians and we focus on the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:16-17 tells us that we should not be ashamed of the Gospel.  It is the power of God to save, our faith is the means, by God’s power.  Paul suffered much, but states that we was not ashamed of the Gospel.

Ministries within the church are very important, but that is not the Gospel.  People need to know the Gospel, we need to teach them, that Christ died for us to bring us back to God, and that salvation is for everyone who will believe.

You’ve been set free with Christ, live like he wants you to live!
